Kuik-e Mahmud

Kuik-e Mahmud (Persian: كوئيك محمود), also Romanized as Kū’īk-e Maḩmūd; also known as Kūyakī-ye Maḩmūd, was a village in Dasht-e Zahab Rural District of Dasht-e Zahab District, Sarpol-e Zahab County, Kermanshah province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 202 in 36 households, when it was in the Central District. The following census in 2011 counted 216 people in 52 households. The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 222 people in 56 households.

After the 2016 census, Dasht-e Zahab, Jeygaran, Posht Tang, and Sarqaleh Rural Districts were separated from the Central District in the establishment of Dasht-e Zahab District. In addition, the villages of Kuik-e Azizi Amin, Kuik-e Hasan, Kuik-e Mahmud, and Kuik-e Majid merged to form the village of Kuik, which became the capital of the new district.
