At the 2016 census, Bullio had a population of 82. At the 2021 census, there were 79 people living at Bullio.
Bullio is the birthplace of ex-Hurlstonian Geoff Goodfellow, a retired long term employee of Wingecarribee Council. Geoff currently lives in Moss Vale with his wife Barbara. They enjoy walks in the bush and spend a lot of time travelling throughout the NSW countryside.
