Battle of Klöntal

The battle of (the) Klöntal was fought near Lake Klöntal (in the namesake valley) in 1799 during the Revolutionary Wars (Second Coalition, Suvorov's Swiss campaign). Suvorov's Russians and Austrians, numbering plus or minus 2,100, were pressing against the French of Molitor, numbering up to 6,500. It ended with the victory of the allies represented by Austria, — Habsburg monarchy, — and Russia.
