Incumbent Senator Blanche Lincoln won re-election to a second term in office despite President George W. Bush winning the state on the same ballot. As of 2023, this was the last time Democrats won the Class 3 Senate seat from Arkansas or that Arkansas elected a female to the U.S. Senate.
