The 2000 United States presidential election in Alabama took place on November 7, 2000, and was part of the 2000 United States presidential election. Voters chose 9 representatives, or electors to the Electoral College, who voted for president and vice president.

Alabama was won by Republican Governor George W. Bush with a 14.88% margin of victory. He won the majority of counties and congressional districts in the state.

As of the 2020 presidential election, this is the last time that a Democrat has won over 40 percent of the vote in Alabama, or carried the counties of Choctaw, Colbert, Lawrence, and Jackson. This is also the last time that the Republican nominee has won less than 60 percent of the vote in the state. Bush became the first Republican to win the White House without carrying Montgomery County since Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1952.
