Battle of Lào Cai
The Battle of Lào Cai was fought between Chinese and Vietnamese forces during the Sino-Vietnamese War. Chinese forces successfully captured the town of Lào Cai and advanced further into Vietnamese territory, effectively meeting their strategic goals, which included engaging with a large Vietnamese force and inflicting a lot of casualties, though also at heavy cost to its own.
