Finland is divided into:
- 19 regions (Finnish: maakunta, Swedish: landskap)
- the regions are divided into 70 sub-regions (Finnish: seutukunta, Swedish: ekonomisk region)
- the sub-regions are divided into 309 municipalities (Finnish: kunta, Swedish: kommun).
