The 1979 Ohio State Buckeyes football team represented Ohio State University in the 1979 Big Ten Conference football season. The Buckeyes compiled an 111 record, including the 1980 Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, where they lost, 1716, to the USC Trojans.
