Akitakata
Akitakata (安芸高田市, Akitakata-shi) is a city located in north-central Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan. As of 1 May 2023, the city had an estimated population of 26,810 in 13,319 households and a population density of 50 persons per km². The total area of the city is 537.75 square kilometres (207.63 sq mi).The city lays claim to be the birthplace and hometown of Mōri Motonari, the Sengoku period daimyō of the 16th century.
