• Two people are dead and seven others infected at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, in Los Angeles County, California, after contracting a super-resistant bacterial infection of Carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE). 179 other people may have been exposed to the bacteria as well. • Former Prime Minister of Thailand Yingluck Shinawatra will be indicted over a controversial rice subsidy scheme. (Channel NewsAsia)
• Venezuelan police arrest the Opposition Mayor of Caracas Antonio Ledezma without a warrant on the anniversary of the arrest of another opposition leader Leopoldo López. • Several hundred hooligans supporting the Dutch football club Feyenoord clash with police in Rome, before the club's Europa League contest with local side Roma.
