Kumtorkalinsky District

Kumtorkalinsky District (Russian: Кумторкалинский райо́н, Kumyk: Хумторкъали якъ, Xumtorqali yaq) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the forty-one in the Republic of Dagestan, Russia. It is located in the east of the republic. The area of the district is 1,270 square kilometers (490 sq mi). Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Korkmaskala. As of the 2010 Census, the total population of the district was 24,848, with the population of Korkmaskala accounting for 31.1% of that number.
