Kuhsar

Kuhsar (Persian: كوهسار) is a city in, and the capital of, Chendar District of Savojbolagh County, Alborz province, Iran. Kuhsar was formerly two independent villages: Chendar (چندار), also Romanized as Chendār and Chandār; and Qal'e Soleimankhani (قلعه سلیمانخانی).

At the 2006 census, its population was 7,757, in 2,075 households, when it was in Tehran province. At the time of the 2016 census, the population was 10,940 in 3,321 households, by which time the county had been separated from the province and become a part of recently established Alborz province.
