Kirovsky District, North Ossetia–Alania

Kirovsky District (Russian: Ки́ровский райо́н; Ossetian: Кировы район, Kirovy rajon) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the eight in the Republic of North Ossetia–Alania, Russia. It is located in the north of the republic. The area of the district is 411 square kilometers (159 sq mi). Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Elkhotovo. Population: 27,807(2010 Census); 26,571 (2002 Census); 19,954(1989 Census). The population of Elkhotovo accounts for 45.4% of the district's total population.
