Kartalinsky District
Kartalinsky District (Russian: Картали́нский райо́н; Kazakh: Қарталы ауданы, Qartaly aýdany) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 4,737 square kilometers (1,829 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Kartaly. Population (excluding the administrative center): 20,256 (2010 Census); 21,961 (2002 Census); 22,170 (1989 Census).
