Jule Sugarman
Jule Meyer Sugarman (September 23, 1927 – November 2, 2010) was an American public administrator who founded Head Start and led the program for its first five years. Throughout his life, Sugarman was an advocate for the rights of children, the poor, and the aged. In addition to his service to the United States government, he was known for his work with organizations like the Gray Panthers and the Special Olympics.
