Joseph ben Judah of Ceuta

Joseph ben Judah (Hebrew: יוסף בן יהודה Yosef ben Yehuda) of Ceuta (c. 1160–1226) was a Jewish physician and poet, and disciple of Maimonides. Maimonides wrote his work, The Guide for the Perplexed, for Joseph.

Not to be confused with Joseph ben Judah ibn Aknin, born c. 1150 at Barcelona, died c. 1220 at Fez. The two are often conflated, especially in earlier literature.
