John Lindley (rugby league)

John Lindley (20 August 1933 – 22 January 2019) was an English professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1950s and 1960s. He played at club level for Normanton ARLFC, Stanley Rangers ARLFC, Wakefield Trinity (Heritage No. 595), St. Helens (Heritage No. 766), Castleford (Heritage No. 450) and York, initially as a centre and later as a prop or second-row, i.e. number 3 or 4, 8 or 10, or, 11 or 12, during the era of contested scums.
