Johar Nordin

Johar bin Nordin or also simply referred to as Dato Dr Johar, was a politician in the Government of Brunei whole formerly took office as the second Minister of Health from 1986 to 2002. Notably, he was among the first local doctors in the country.

In this Malay name, there is no surname or family name. The name Nordin is a patronymic, and the person should be referred to by their given name, Johar. The word "bin" or "binti"/"binte" means 'son of' or 'daughter of', respectively.
