Jean-Pierre Soisson
Jean-Pierre Soisson (French pronunciation: [ʒɑ̃ pjɛʁ swasɔ̃]; (9 November 1934 – 27 February 2024) was a French politician of the Union for a Popular Movement. He was a deputy in the National Assembly of France for the first district of Yonne for several terms between 1968 and 2012; mayor of Auxerre from 1971 to 1998; President of the Regional Council of Burgundy (1992–1993 and 1998–2004); and national minister of youth, labour, public administration and agriculture.
