James Walker (New South Wales politician)
James Walker (I November 1785 – 24 November 1856) was a Scottish-born Australian politician.
He came to New South Wales in 1823 with the Royal Marine Artillery, and became a merchant in partnership with his brother and nephews. . He acquired extensive pastoral land in the 1840s. In May 1856 he was appointed to the New South Wales Legislative Council, but he died on 24 November 1856 (aged 70–71) in Sydney, .
