Ja'far ibn Fallah

Ja'far ibn Fallah (Arabic: جعفر بن فلاح) or ibn Falah was a Berber general of the Kutama tribe in the service of the Fatimid Caliphate. Served as a second leader of the Fatimid conquest of Egypt in 969 , and led the first Fatimid attempt to conquer Syria in 970–971, He conquered Ramla in 970 from the Ikshidids and Captured Jerusalem and Damascus, He proclaimed himself the Emir of Damascus

but his attack on Byzantine-held Antioch was repulsed, and he lost his life in June 971 fighting against the Qarmatians.
