Principal photography of the film began in October 2019. It was initially set for cinema release in June 2020. But the release was postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic. It finally opened theatrically on 11 December 2020, but amid the 50% occupancy guideline that was announced keeping in mind the pandemic's continuity.
