Hydaspes (mythology)

In Greek mythology, Hydaspes (Ὑδάσπης), was a Pentapotamia river god with an extraordinary swift stream that flows into the Saronitic Syrtis. It is the modern day Jhelum River ("Vitasta" in Sanskrit).
