Hoseynabad District

Hoseynabad District (Persian: بخش حسین‌آباد) is in Sanandaj County, Kurdistan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Hoseynabad.

Not to be confused with Hoseynabad-e Jonubi Rural District or Hoseynabad-e Shomali Rural District.

In October 2011, Hoseynabad-e Shomali Rural District was separated from Saral District in Divandarreh County, and Hoseynabad-e Jonubi Rural District was separated from the Central District in Sanandaj County in the establishment of Hoseynabad District.

At the latest census in 2016, the district had 9,743 inhabitants in 2,748 households.

After the census, the village of Hoseynabad was elevated to the status of a city.
