On August 1, 1941, Abbott and Costello performed a half-hour live version of the film for radio audiences on Louella Parsons' Hollywood Premiere.
In the film, two gas station attendants inherit a rundown tavern from a gangster. He also left them a cryptic clue about his hidden stash of money. During a stormy night at the tavern, people mysteriously disappear. Meanwhile, the new owners continue their treasure hunting efforts.
