After the census, the rural district was separated from the district in the establishment of Dasht-e Sar District. The village of Ejbar Kola, after merging with the villages of Harun Kola, Khuni Sar, Nafar Kheyl, and Najjar Mahalleh, became a larger village of the same name, and is now the capital of the newly established district.
