Gorodishchensky District, Penza Oblast
Gorodishchensky District (Russian: Городи́щенский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Penza Oblast, Russia. It is located in the east of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,053 square kilometers (793 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Gorodishche. Population: 52,480 (2010 Census); 53,125 (2002 Census); 58,266 (1989 Census). The population of Gorodishche accounts for 15.4% of the district's total population.
