Gorgophone (daughter of Perseus)

In Greek mythology, Gorgophone (Ancient Greek: Γοργοφόνη) was a queen of Messenia and Sparta. Her name means "Gorgon Slayer", a tribute to her father Perseus who killed Medusa, the mortal Gorgon.
