Gorgin, Kurdistan

Gorgin (Persian: گرگين), also Romanized as Gorgīn, is a village in, and the capital of, Gorgin Rural District of Korani District, Bijar County, Kurdistan province, Iran. The village is populated by Azerbaijanis.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 272 in 72 households. The following census in 2011 counted 247 people in 74 households. The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 231 people in 81 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.
