Gordon Greenidge

Sir Cuthbert Gordon Greenidge KCMG MBE (born 1 May 1951) is a Barbadian retired cricketer who represented the West Indies in Test and One-day Cricket for 17 years, as well as Barbados and Hampshire in first-class cricket. Greenidge is regarded worldwide as one of the greatest and most destructive opening batsmen in cricket history. In 2009, Greenidge was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame. He was a member of the squads which won the 1975 Cricket World Cup, 1979 Cricket World Cup and come runners-up in the 1983 Cricket World Cup.
