It stars Christina Hendricks, Retta, and Mae Whitman as the main characters, along with a supporting cast that includes Reno Wilson, Manny Montana, Lidya Jewett, Isaiah Stannard, and Matthew Lillard. The series was executive-produced by Bans, Dean Parisot, and Jeannine Renshaw, for Universal Television. In June 2021, NBC announced that the show was canceled after four seasons.
