Gil Puyat
Gil Juco Puyat Sr. (September 1, 1907 – March 23, 1980) was a Filipino politician and businessman who served as a Senator of the Philippines from 1951 until 1972, when President Ferdinand Marcos shut Congress down and declared Martial Law, and as Senate President from 1967 to 1972, usurping the seat of Senate Pres. Arturo Tolentino.
