The international destinations for this cycle are Santa Cruz, Los Angeles, Miami and Palermo.
This is the first season that introduces male contestants, and the first season since the 16th season to not include any best-ager models. Also for this season, there will be two winners (one of each gender) who will receive prizes that include a joint cover and spread in the German edition of Harper's Bazaar and a €100,000 cash prize each.
This season breaks the record for having the biggest pool of contestants in the history of the Top Model franchise with 40 contestants.
