Gergebilsky District

Gergebilsky District (Russian: Герге́бильский райо́н; Avar: Хьаргаби мухъ) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the forty-one in the Republic of Dagestan, Russia. It is located in the center of the republic. The area of the district is 341.9 square kilometers (132.0 sq mi). Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Gergebil. As of the 2010 Census, the total population of the district was 19,910, with the population of Gergebil accounting for 26.1% of that number.
