George Robson (racing driver)

George Robson (February 24, 1909 – September 2, 1946) was an American racing driver. He is best known for winning the Indianapolis 500 in 1946. Although his earlier career had been unremarkable, Robson won several more races during the American Automobile Association (AAA) sanctioned 1946 Championship Car season, before being killed later that year in accident at Lakewood Speedway.
