Gavurbağı massacre
The Gavurbağı massacre happened on July 12, 1946, when the Iraqi police opened fire on Iraqi Turkmen rights protestors in Kirkuk's Gavurbağı park. The protestors all worked for the Kirkuk Oil Company.
