At the census of 2006, its population (as a part of Tehran province) was 544 in 138 households. In the most recent census of 2016, there were 221 people in 75 households, by which time the county had separated from the province and become a part of recently established Alborz province. The most populous of its 13 villages was Shahrak-e Taleqani, with 111 people.
