The production on the album was handled by Akon, Timbaland, Jermaine Dupri, Just Blaze and Polow da Don, among others.

From Nothin' to Somethin' was supported by four singles: "Diamonds", "Return of the Hustle", "Make Me Better" and "Baby Don't Go".
