Freetown Christiania
Freetown Christiania (Danish: Fristaden Christiania), also known as Christiania or simply Staden, is an intentional community and commune in the Christianshavn neighbourhood of the Danish capital city of Copenhagen. It began in 1971 as a squatted military base. Its Pusher Street is famous for its open trade of cannabis, which is illegal in Denmark.

The open trade of cannabis was shut down April 17, 2024, as a collaborative effort with police and the majority inhabitants of Christania. Pusher streets cobblestone road was physically removed, and a new appartment complex is expected to be build in the middle of pusherstreet.
