Frank Cowper
Francis Cowper (14 January 1849 – 28 May 1930) was an English yachtsman, author, illustrator and journalist who was influential in popularising single-handed cruising. He has been credited as "the forefather of modern cruising", and his books "laid the foundation" of the pilot guides used by yachtsmen today.
