Finance Secretary (India)

The finance secretary (pronounced [vit̪t̪ə səcivə]) is the administrative head of the Ministry of Finance. This post is held by senior IAS officer of the rank of Secretary to Government of India. T. V. Somanathan is the incumbent Finance Secretary.
