Farah Airport
Farah Airport (IATA: FAH, ICAO: OAFR) is a defunct aiport located in the eastern section of Farah in Afghanistan, which is the capital city of Farah Province.

The airport is under the Afghan Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation (MoTCA), and served the population of southwestern Afghanistan. It provided domestic flight services to several cities in the country, but it was under consideration include international flights sometime in the future. Qatar was working with local authorities to upgrade Farah Airport for international flights in the late 2010s.
Farah Airport was used also used for military purposes in the past by the United States Armed Forces, the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), and the old Afghan Air Force (AAF). It was renovated and expanded recently in the 2010s, with new facilities added for the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) until 2021.
Under the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, the Air ministry has outsourced operation of Afghanistan's airspace and airports to the United Arab Emirates firm GAAC Holding.
There have been no regular flights from this airport for some years now but there is a push to re-establish flights to Kabuul. It is known the airport has taken flights from the Red Crescent aid organization and has airport security.
