Eslamabad-e Gharb

Eslamabad-e Gharb (Persian: اسلام‌آباد غرب and Kurdish: شاباد, romanized: Şabad), also Romanized as Eslāmābād-e Gharb; also known as Eslāmābād, Shāhābād, and Shāhābād-e Gharb, is a city in the Central District of Eslamabad-e Gharb County, Kermanshah province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district. It is the second largest city in the province and is known for its oak trees.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 89,430 in 20,956 households. The following census in 2011 counted 94,699 people in 25,673 households. The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 90,559 people in 26,503 households.
