During her career, Longo Borghini has won two bronze medals in the road race at the Summer Olympic Games, taking third-place finishes in Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. She has also won two bronze medals in the equivalent event at the UCI Road World Championships, doing so in 2012 and 2020. She has won three cycling monuments: Tour of Flanders in 2015 and 2024, and Paris–Roubaix Femmes in 2022.
