Principal photography commenced in October 2021 and ended in September 2022 which took place in Hyderabad and Spain.
Dhamaka was released on 23 December 2022 during the Christmas weekend, where it received mixed to positive reviews from critics with praise for its cast performances (particularly Ravi Teja, Jayaram and Sreeleela), humor, soundtrack and background score, but criticized its pace and screenwriting. The film grossed over ₹110 crore worldwide, making it the one of the highest-grossing Telugu film of 2022 as well as the highest grossing film of Teja's career.
