David Pocock (political party)

David Pocock is an Australian political party founded in 2022 that serves as a vessel for the Independent ACT Senator, David Pocock. The party was founded prior to the 2022 Australian Senate election in order to give Pocock the ability to have himself promoted above-the-line on the ballot paper. The party's website states that without appearing above-the-line, "He (Pocock) would have had no chance of winning."

Fellow ACT candidate for the Senate, Kim Rubenstein, formed a political party, Kim for Canberra, for the same reasons as David Pocock. David Pocock Party listed Kim for Canberra as its second preference on its how-to-vote card, directly after Pocock himself.
