Danilo Lacuna

Danilo Bautista Lacuna Sr. (March 23, 1938 – August 13, 2023) was a Filipino lawyer and politician who served as vice mayor of Manila from 1970 to 1971, 1988 to 1992, and from 1998 to 2007. He also served as city councilor (municipal board member) from the 3rd district from 1967 to 1975 and as a special assistant to the then Manila Municipal Board beginning in 1963. Lacuna was the founder of the local party Asenso Manileño. He also unsuccessfully ran for mayor of Manila in 1992 and in 2007 and for representative of the 6th district of Manila in 2010. He was the father of incumbent Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna and was a mentor of former Mayor Isko Moreno.

Lacuna was diagnosed with stroke in 2016, making him disabled. He died on August 13, 2023, at the age of 85.
