Dan Boren

David Daniel Boren (born August 2, 1973) is an American businessman and politician who is the Secretary of Commerce for the Chickasaw Nation, based in Oklahoma. He is a retired American politician, who served as the U.S. representative for Oklahoma's 2nd congressional district from 2005 to 2013. The district included most of the eastern part of the state outside of Tulsa. He is a member of the Democratic Party. He also served as a State Representative in the 28th district of the Oklahoma House of Representatives.

Boren announced on June 7, 2011, that he would not seek re-election to the House in 2012. On June 19, 2012, he announced via a news release that he has been hired as President of Corporate Development for the Chickasaw Nation, working to promote economic diversification upon completion of his term in Congress. In January 2020, Boren began his role as president and Chief Banking Officer of First United Bank, but returned to the Chickasaw Nation as Secretary of Commerce in May 2022. In June 2022, he was appointed to First United Bank's board of directors.
