Citibus (Lubbock)

Citibus is the public transportation bus and paratransit system which serves Lubbock, Texas. It runs bus routes throughout the city, with the main routes converging at the Downtown Transfer Plaza, which also houses the Greyhound bus terminal. Citibus has been in continual service since 1971 when the city of Lubbock took over public transit operations. The paratransit system is called Citiaccess.

In 2023, the system had a ridership of 2,408,400, or about 12,100 per weekday as of the fourth quarter of 2023. Citibus operates six days a week from 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Nighttime service is supplemented by a curb-to-curb service called the NiteRide. In addition to regular bus routes, it has a partnership with Texas Tech University to run shuttle buses on school days and game-day events.
