Christian Schmidt (politician)
Hans Сhristian Friedrich Schmidt (born 26 August 1957) is a German politician serving as the High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina since August 2021. He is a member of the Christian Social Union.

Schmidt served as Minister of Food and Agriculture from 2014 to 2018. He was Parliamentary Secretary of State in the German Federal Ministry of Defence from 2005 to 2013, as well as Parliamentary Secretary of State in the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development from December 2013 until February 2014. He was member of the Bundestag for Fürth from 1990 to 2021.
